Emanzipatorische Potenziale zwischen radikaldemokratischer und neoliberaler Logik

Abstract

Ländliche Regionen erlangen verstärkt Bedeutung als Schauplätze der Energiewende, wobei eine dezentrale Nutzbarmachung von erneuerbaren Energien oftmals als Chance für die Entwicklung strukturschwacher Räume angesehen wird. Anhand eines Beispiels von umkämpften Windparkprojekten in Schottland argumentieren wir, dass das emanzipatorische Potenzial stark vom gemeinschaftlichen Eigentum an den Infrastrukturen der Energieversorgung geprägt ist, während neoliberale Politik vermehrt die radikaldemokratischen Prinzipien alternativer Energieprojekte untergräbt.
