Abstract

The Covid-19 epidemic in China has led to an economic crisis which had a global impact on value chains and markets. However, China’s relatively successful containment of the disease has spurred new developments: China’s economy might prove to be more resilient during crisis as most Western economies. As a result, the hegemonic struggle between China and the US could take a new turn.
