Solidarity-Based Collapse Politics in the Climate Crisis

Solidarity-based collapse politics organize and politicize direct aid in situations in which basic infrastructures collapse. After the relative failure of the climate movements and against the backdrop of a shift to the right, solidarity-based collapse politics were proposed as a possible field of action for the next cycle of climate movements. In the article I analyze and criticize the German discourses on and practices of solidarity-based collapse politics, and solidarity-based prepping that have emerged in German-speaking areas over the last four years in the context of climate movements.
