PROKLA has been dealing with crises on the left since the first decade of its existence. The current crisis, however, is more diverse and deeper; new problems have emerged without old ones disappearing. The current issue is therefore not solely dedicated to the crisis of DIE LINKE, but situates it in the broader context of an overall crisis-ridden and weakened social left. At the same time, a crisis analysis should not only aim at spreading pessimism, but also point out existing possibilities and productive moments that lead out of it. The issue can thus be read as a search movement that strives to mediate different lines of conflict and thus outline possible ways out of the crisis.
